Institute!

I have the most awesome institute teachers at UVU! One of them has a "book of the day". Every day Brother Van Dyke will have another great LDS book to put on our "Must Read these Books" list. They are awesome! I finally got History of Joseph Smith by his Mother by Proctor/ Proctor Edition. I am so excited to read this with Tom! By the look of our schedules though, it might turn out to be a lonely read instead. We have no time to enjoy leisurely reading. I'll be glad once I'm done with school!

Too Much!

So I have a german class and an english class. These two classes give me the most homework of my many classes. I HAVE JUST BEEN SELECTED TO BE A SPEAKER ON A PANEL THAT WILL BE SPEAKING IN FRONT OF MAYBE A THIRD OF THE SCHOOL!!! Oh and I just passed my first test in German with flying colors! I don't know how many people pass the oral test without corrections but I did! I was so excited that I am doing to well. I think that this has become my new passion! ...Besides the Thomas's and dancing. I was trying to figure a way to go to Germany with the school's study abroad program but for me to go with Thomas would be about $10,000! I wanted to go but we would have to pull out about all of that from student loans. I just don't want to acrew that much debt over something that isn't that important. I'm really bummed but I know it is for the best!

I love my new classes!

I have german 1010, Dance (Ballroom), english 2010, and two institute classes that I absolutely love! I have always had a burning desire to learn other languages! So far it's been a treat! Dance hasn't officially been taught in class but it's one of the few things I love to do and I'm actually good at. I took it my senior year in high school and so it'll be more like a refresher course. My english class looks like it will be more like a debate team than anything. I'm not so crazy about the subject as I am about Dr. Nichols the professor. She makes everything she teaches become something interesting and exciting in a way that I never thought possible! I love teachers that are so gifted, they can make things come alive for their classes! And obviously, I love the institute classes, especially since I get to share them with my hubby! Who wouldn't be excited?! Lets just hope we can get a 4.0 GPA this semester. I don't see why not!

Busy Week

So I have a very full week this week! Today we have some friends from Idaho coming to visit with one of their other friends. We also invited another couple over and all the guys are going to play xbox 360 and babysit while their wives and I go to the theater! Cool, huh! Tomorrow we are going to the Salt Lake Temple! Then on Wednesday on, schools starts! I finally found a babysitter for the rest of the semester!!!! That was a test of faith!! And somewhere in all that mess, I have a friend, Darci, coming down from cache valley who I haven't seen in over 4 months that will be visiting as well but she hasn't set up a time yet. Whooo! So yeah... wish me luck!

Teething

So baby Thomas is now teething, I believe! He is fussy, runny nose, & won't eat very well. It could be a cold but my aunt Karen says she thinks she can feel some top teeth coming in. We'll see. Today has been a lot better than yesterday. Yesterday I couldn't get him to stop crying unless he was asleep! Good Grief! I think soon I will start him on more solid food. I'm excited and terrified at the same time! I can't imaging what it will be like to have several kids. Three cheers for all who do and still stay sane!!!

Hobbies?

So I have no talent for crafts nor ideas for such however I love to do them. One day I would love to have a whole ton of my own paintings hung in our house. I would like to have several "sayings" up on the little boards and just lots of home made items! I haven't gotten very far but thanks to Erin I now have one more handy dandy crafts item I can hang. I made a picture board! It's pastel yellow with sage green ribbons and golden decorative nails. Erin, her friend Kelly and I made one each the other night while our husbands and some of their friends had a xbox gaming night. We just had a really fun girls night out!

So I Finally Did It!

So now I am finally in the blogging group! Good luck to me! I have never done anything like this before because I seem to have no knack for it. I always mess it up! Erin finally showed me how fun it "could" be so now we shall see how long I last.
